SwissGPT alternative: AlpineAI and yeos

Two Swiss AI platforms with different focus

AlpineAI from Davos – known as SwissGPT – runs an AI platform on its own hardware in Swiss data centres, focused on public authorities, universities and healthcare. yeos is built for SMEs that want answers from their existing company knowledge and work prepared from it. Both host in Switzerland; the difference is what they are for.

01

What is AlpineAI (SwissGPT)?

According to its website, AlpineAI AG offers an AI platform for "critical sectors": chat with optional web search, assistants that answer from uploaded files, agents, an Outlook plugin and "Listener", meeting transcription including Swiss German with minutes and to-dos.

The vendor states that the platform runs on its own hardware in several Swiss data centres, mainly uses Mistral models without model APIs from foreign providers, and is certified to ISO 27001 and VDSZ. The SwissGPT name is now rarely used; the product is called AlpineAI Platform.

02

Where AlpineAI is strong

If you require maximum sovereignty and formal certification of the vendor, AlpineAI has a clear offer: own hardware, no foreign model APIs, ISO 27001 and VDSZ.

With references in municipalities and universities, an HIN integration for healthcare and Swiss German transcription, AlpineAI is tailored to those sectors.

03

Where yeos differs

At AlpineAI, assistants work with uploaded files according to the website; connections to SharePoint or Microsoft 365 are not mentioned there. yeos connects directly to SharePoint and Teams, keeps documents in sync automatically and searches them where they live – nobody has to upload files.

Every answer in yeos names the document it came from and shows contradictions between documents. The Brain keeps decisions, commitments and open questions with their source, so the same question does not have to be researched twice.

Agents in yeos run on a schedule or in response to events and connect to Jira, Confluence, Slack and other systems via API and MCP. They prepare the work and wait for your approval.

04

Which one fits?

AlpineAI fits public authorities, universities and medical practices looking for a certified, sovereign chat and transcription solution with few integration needs.

yeos fits SMEs whose knowledge already lives in SharePoint, mail and business systems and who want sourced answers and prepared work from it – with a free plan to start and prices per organisation instead of per user.
